Our Linkages Across Borders Project finished off with a festive Christmas Party at the end of November. We asked our participants from Enniskillen and Cavan what they would like to do to celebrate and close off this fantastic project funded by the Shared Island Fund. LGNI worked with our partners to organise a Christmas party based on their suggestions held in the Meadow View Inn in Cavan on the 30th November. Everyone enjoyed a sit down Christmas lunch, ballot prizes, LGNI's Christmas Quiz, music, some singing and dancing and most importantly connecting with one another!
We are sad that the project is now completed but we have created relationships that will continue between generations in both Cavan and Enniskillen and also cross border working relationships. All involved are keen to continue their links locally and if possible keep up cross border connections. A massive thank you to all involved and especially our partner organisations - Cavan Positive Age, Foroige Cavan Town Youth Project, Devenish Partnership Forum and Youth Action NI's Brookborough Youth Club.
