We are delighted to be leading the Global Intergenerational Week Campaign for Northern Ireland again this year taking place from 24th - 30th April 2026. The week offers a fantastic opportunity for schools to make intergenerational connections in their local communities supporting educational outcomes and happiness for all involved!
LGNI are calling on schools across NI to help us celebrate GIW26 by engaging pupils in developing ideas for intergenerational activities and putting these into practice during GIW26. To support schools to take part LGNI will be utilising our expertise and also resources created in partnership with Twinkl NI to put teachers and pupils in the lead!
A support session will be held for all schools committed to taking part on the 26th February 3-5pm via zoom. Schools and pupils will then take the lead in developing their intergenerational activities/events to celebrate the week and hopefully fill local communities, social media and local news with intergenerational positivity!
