East Belfast Arts Young Adults take the lead!
LGNI's Lynne B enjoyed the opportunity to deliver a workshop on intergenerational good practice and activity ideas to an amazing group of young adults from EastSide Arts.
There was a lot of discussion during and after the session with everyone keen to make links in their community with local older persons’ groups to enjoy activities together in the coming months. Great to see young people taking the lead in developing intergenerational connections and we are really looking forward to seeing how this project develops and catching up!
LGNI plan to host a refection sessions with them discuss what they achieved and learnt, future plans and options to sustain and further develop the links created.
Building the capacity of our young people to develop their own intergenerational links is a great way to contribute to a range of outcomes for all involved - skills for life and work, community connection, health and wellbeing and much more!
