Generations Connect Virtually in Armagh!

So we are off!! Finally a session linking up generations (virtually) via big screens in each setting, as part of our partnership project with the Soil Association 'Food for Life Get Togethers'. This 'Virtual Get Togethers’ session had lots of fun, excitement, smiles and waves and is the first of 3 sessions linking up residents in Sunnymead Residential Home with pupils of Lisnadill Primary School. Pupils brought along their most treasured object to ‘show and tell’ and residents gave an amazing drumming and singing performance, that everyone else joined in with. The next virtual sessions will involve making and eating fruit skewers, and planting up seeds and decorating pots to share. A quiz and a sing a long will also be incorporated at everyone’s request! Another 2 initiatives similar to this will shortly be starting so watch this space!
