Sion Mills Community Art Celebration!

On Friday 6th June the Sion Mills Community celebrated the success of their intergenerational arts collaboration as part of LGNI's 'REAP What You Sow Through Art' project with the Mayor.  Pupils from Sion Mills Integrated Primary School joined forces with Sion Mills Community Association, grandparents, parents and family friends to work on a collective art piece for the community. Leona Devine local Ceramic's Artist facilitated the arts sessions over a couple of months supporting the intergenerational group to develop their ideas and create a miniature clay village of Sion Mills.  We are completely amazed by the finished project which will act as a beautiful art legacy for all of the community to enjoy as well as a reminder of the project!

The project was one of three supported by LGNI as part of our 'REAP What You Sow Through Art' project funded by the Arts Council for Northern Ireland Lottery Good Causes Rural Engagement in Arts Programme.
