Accredited Intergenerational Training for Early Years Practitioners!

Are you are an Early Years practitioner and interested in developing intergenerational connections in your setting but just aren't sure how to do it and need ideas and support to help you develop links? Our 4.75 hour CPD accredited Intergenerational training is a great place to start. LGNI are delighted to be able to offer this amazing FREE training opportunity to Early Years practitioners across Northern Ireland!

Intergenerational connection and activity is a great way to enhance and add value to the work of your setting and has multiple benefits for all involved!

LGNI have partnered with UK partners Generations Working Together Scotland and Apples and Honey London on the Creating Intergenerational Communities Project.  This project will focus on the development of Quality indicators for intergenerational practice and as part of this five lucky Early Years settings in NI will have the opportunity to pilot these indicators!  This free training opportunity is the first stage of identifying our participating settings and we are now taking expressions of interest!  Register your interest here

How is it Delivered?

Delivered over 3 modules (1 day or 3 short sessions) the training covers:

  • What is Intergenerational practice?
  • Good practice in preparing and bringing generations together (plus activity ideas for virtual and at a distance
  • Evaluation methods and sustainability

You will also receive a completion certificate with 4.75 hours CPD (Linking Generations Northern Ireland - The CPD Standards Office) and a copy of LGNI's Training Manual to refer back to!

Trainees will then have the opportunity to further engage in the LGNI Quality indicators pilot!
