College Students put Intergenerational Training into Practice!

Earlier this year LGNI provided Accredited Intergenerational Training to Health and Social Care students in Southern Regional College Newry and Early Years students in South West College Dungannon.

Teamed with a small activity budget the LGNI training aimed to support their studies by providing a practice based learning opportunity.  We are delighted to see the amazing progress and intergenerational links the students have made following their training with support from LGNI, their tutors and colleges!

Local links were made with older people and their settings and judging from the photos it looks like everyone benefited young, old and in between!  We hope this great initiative continues year on year and a big well done to all involved!
