LGNI were delighted to deliver intergenerational training to our second set of students, this time from Southern Regional College! The session delivered by LGNI's Lynne B focused on what intergenerational work is, sharing intergenerational good practice, discussing ideas for activities and the practicalities of reaching out to older members of their community. The students studying Health & Social Care plan to utilise their new knowledge and skills to develop connections with older people which will support their studies and learning as well as addressing the massive problem that exists of isolation and loneliness amongst older people.
A big THANK YOU and WELL DONE from us! We can't wait to see how your ideas progress into activity!
