LGNI visits Laurelhill Community College!

Vicki really enjoying meeting these amazing pupils studying Health & Social care at Laurelhill Community College recently.

After the success of their intergenerational connection with nearby Laurelhill House Care Home as part of LGNI's Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland funded Creating Intergenerational Connections Project last year, they have decided to continue with a new group of students this year.

Vicki gave the students a talk about LGNI and #intergenerational practice and used the Alzheimer's Society Northern Ireland Dementia resources to prepare them for engaging with the care home residents.

LGNI love seeing the links they supported sustained and in this case making a valuable contribution to both the students learning and older people's lives.
