We are delighted to announce who our intergenerational pilot settings are from across Northern Ireland for the first year of the CIC project!
These new partnerships will be taking part in our 'Creating Intergenerational Communities' project, who LGNI are delivering with their partners in Generations Working Together, Scotland and Apples & Honey Nightingale, London.
This has been made possible through funding received from the National Lottery Community Fund and will continue until July 2025.
Through delivering intergenerational activities with both the children and older people from both settings, these pilots will trial a newly created set of quality indicators that can be used to evaluate their own intergenerational practice, allowing facilitators to monitor and reflect on the quality of their activities.
They include:
The Magic Roundabout Childcare Centre & Millcroft Care Home, Enniskillen
Red Brick House Nursery & Oakmont Care Home, Bangor
The Beeches Day Nursery & The Beeches Nursing Home, Craigavon
Plumbridge SureStart & The Plum Club, Plumbridge
We can't wait to watch these fabulous relationships unfold as they develop and grow over the coming months!
