LGNI Training with NI Museum Council Staff

17 December 2021

LGNI  facilitated intergenerational training sessions for Northern Ireland Museums Council outreach staff during December after NIMC approached LGNI to provide training in preparation for laying the foundations for undertaking intergenerational projects.

The training sessions were for staff involved in NIMC ‘Memories, Movement & Museums’ Dementia specific project phase 2 (involving reminiscence and movement based sessions in care homes)  and also ‘Playful Museums’.

The 12 participants included:

The training took place over 3 sessions to facilitate the NI Museum staff work schedules and aimed to build the capacity and ideas of trainees supporting them to go on to develop intergenerational activities.  We look forward to seeing them put their training into practice as part of the NIMC outreach activities! Thank you to all of the amazing trainees and for the positive feedback,

‘Excellent, really beneficial.’
‘Thanks for a great course'.
