St Colmcille’s Primary School and Galgorm Care Home

St. Colmcille’s Primary School and Galgorm Care Home (Four Seasons Health Care Northern Ireland), have been connecting with each other throughout the last 18 months doing fantastic work.

The onset of the pandemic changed their #AllAgesApril plans involving the care home residents visiting the school. The restrictions made things slightly tricky but with genius innovation they adapted to virtual activity with the two groups meeting over zoom to learn about needle work and embroidery. The final result is the creation of a ‘Tree of Life’ display, which will remain permanently within the school. They have worked so well together they have more activities in the pipeline Christmas carols, gardening projects and school visits.
