Artwork Celebrated at Movilla House!

It was 'Party Time' with lots of fun and celebrations at Movilla House Nursing Home on Friday! Vicki joined the residents and care staff, pupils and teachers from Movilla High School, Trisha McNally Artist to welcome the new Lady Mayor of Ards and North Down Borough Council who unveiled the amazing Artwork created as part of the groups iintergenerational Arts for Older People Funded activities!
The theme of the weekly sessions facilitated by Trisha focused on memories of the seaside and both Movilla House and Movilla High School were presented with a piece of artwork to proudly hang in their settings!
The participants enjoyed celebrating with party hooters, nibbles and yummy treats and although everyone is sad the weekly sessions are over they are keen to keep up their intergenerational links and friendships!
Connections like this are so important and not only do these connections make people feel good but they also help to achieve outcomes such as Care Home Standards and Skills for life and work....👨‍🎓👩‍⚕️
Thanks so much to the funders of this project Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Public Health Agency (Northern Ireland) We really need more connections like this supported!
