As part of LGNI's Arty Generations project funded by the Arts Council NI Arts for Older People Fund LGNI staff are delivering Dementia Awareness sessions for all children and young people involved.
Recently Joyce from LGNI delivered Dementia Awareness sessions to the amazing pupils in Cloughmills Primary School and Glengormley Integrated Primary. The pupils will then go on to link up with older people from Cloughmills Golden Oldies and Antrim Newtownabbey Seniors Forum for intergenerational arts activities.
The sessions use the fantastic resources from the Alzheimer's Society NI and are really great way to provide an insight and understanding on Dementia but also Age Awareness.
