UK Creating Intergenerational Communities Project

LGNI are delighted to be working on this exciting project to develop quality indicators for Intergenerational Practice with our UK partners!

UK Creating Intergenerational Communities Project

LGNI are delighted to be embarking on a new project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund! This multi-year project is led by Generations Working Together in partnership with LGNI and Apples and Honey at Nightingale! The generous fund will allow us to train and upskill communities and grassroots organisations across the UK, to develop and facilitate new intergenerational projects and opportunities!
The programme will also introduce and promote new quality standards for Intergenerational activities, providing confidence and ensuring sustainability. LGNI's role in NI will be to identify a number of pilot settings to take part, train and upskill staff to deliver intergenerational activities and also to evaluate their work and its impact against the newly developed Quality Indicators!
In year one of the project, LGNI focused on identifying pilots within the Early Years Sector in NI.  You can check out related news items to this project below:

Now into it's second year of the project, LGNI's focus will be to engage with Youth settings from across NI who already have existing links with an older persons setting or who want to develop one! Watch this space for more updates!
